About the ride

In 2013 Dale Beaumont joined us on our 800km through the south of Thailand. Dale had a light bulb moment on that ride that this would be a great way to bring small business owners and entrepreneurs from Business Blueprint together to achieve something pretty extraordinary as one community. In 2014 the Business Blueprint Ride was born.

Fast forward to 2019 and this passionate and committed community have raised $1.7million for Hands and have seen over 300+ riders take on the challenge of cycling 500km. It hasn’t come without its challenges but this is a team that will never give up!

In 2020 the Business Blueprint ride will be heading to the breathtaking Isaan Region in the north east of Thailand. Starting in the city of Bueng Karn, our riders will spend two days following the incredibly bio-diverse Mekong River before heading west through villages and rural communities not often visited by foreigners. Following a well-deserved rest day, the team will ride into one of our homes, Home Hug in Yasothon to be greeted excitedly by the children they have worked so hard to support.

500km in 5 days:  The Hands Across the Water rides are designed to be inclusive – meaning the goal is not to finish first, but to finish together. As a group you will travel 500km in 5 days, with a rest day in the middle.  There is plenty of support both on and off the bike and there will be no shortage of people to help you achieve this incredible feat.
Stunning Scenery: Cycle through remote villages and witness the beauty of Northern Thailand as you embark on this life changing adventure. You’ll spend a lot of time taking in the views of the Mekong River before heading inland to a place called Yasothon.
Fundraise $5,000: Raise AU$5,000 to qualify for the ride, with 100% of fundraising going directly to the children in Thailand. We will support you with your fundraising every step of the way with access to our dedicated events and marketing team.
Meet the children: Finish the ride at Home Hug in Yasothon to be greeted warmly by the very children you have worked so hard to support. You’ll see firsthand the difference your phenomenal effort has made to so many lives.

Business Blueprint Charity Bike Ride 2019

This year's Business Blueprint Charity Bike Ride was a great success! We were able to raise over $380,000 for our partner charity Hands Across the Water. This brings our fundraising total to over $1.7 million dollars in the last 6 years. We'd like to thank the 65 amazing riders who managed to push through sand, mud and gravel roads in 40+ degree heat across Central Thailand, covering a distance of 500 kilometres in 5 days. Our team of riders were a motivated mix of our Blueprint team, clients and family members. Our riders were also able to pay tribute and experience the culture of Thailand, visiting villages, Hellfire Pass, Bridge over the River Kwai and the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. The riders powered on and conquered intense and scorching heat with some exhausted tears, reassuring hugs and the knowledge that all of their efforts were dedicated to raising money for at-risk Thai children and their communities.Seeing the beautiful smiles and innocent faces of the 66 children in the orphanage made all the hard work worth it! Knowing we were able to raise enough money to fund the orphanage for another 12 months makes us very proud of all the riders who went through so much in the past 5 days.Thank you for sharing this journey with us! Watch the video to see the highlights of our Charity Bike Ride. We hope you enjoy it!

We have a team of people to help you through your journey but importantly there is a dedicated ride coordinator who is there to answer any questions about the ride and arrange any additional activities you might need to organise for your experience. We’re here to help so just ask!
